Fantastic opportunity to join this leading 3PL Automotive specialist and provide support, mentoring and guidance to the RFU Supervisors.

Working with a prestige client and tier one suppliers to monitor arrival, inventory and dispatch in a fast paced industry where every second counts.

Accountable for achieving and surpassing KPI’s, reporting concerns quickly and efficiently, be analytical and detail orientated as well as a people manager to mentor and progress the team. Working with the client and suppliers , giving clear, robust communication at a strategic level.Responsible for the day to day management of all decks of parts, ensuring that Release and Follow Up Supervisors are following process and confirming material is available to cover export requirements at all times.

Responsible for ensuring that the RFU escalation process has been robustly followed. Confirm that countermeasures are in place for all issues raised and that corrective actions are delegated to the appropriate RFU Supervisors. Responsible for confirming that corrective actions have been implemented.

Confirm that Premium Freight / Emergency Part process is followed by all analysts.

Confirm that analysts have responded to any issue flagged up by stores operatives, to include stock losses, quality issues and supplier short shipments.

Ensure Hot Parts Tracker is updated in real time.

Ensure the suppliers in distress are managed in line with current EXTERNAL CLIENT process.

Ensure fluid communication is maintained with the EXTERNAL CLIENT RFU Manager.

Manage the update of BPD board to confirm status of departmental KPI. Ensure any issues are captured on the departmental CCAR document.

To raise a PPS document for any Premium Freight attributed to a Client cost. Route-cause all issues, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented.

Ensure follow analysts are managing problem suppliers through the SPEEDY process.

Ensure smooth introduction of engineering changes / model year part introduction.

Manage the training needs of the department using SWS and training sign off documentation. Implement training plans to maximize employee flexibility.

Identify CIP opportunities for current processes to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded as well as eliminating complexity and duplication.

To ensure parts required arrive at site on time.

To ensure Client policies and procedures are followed

To ensure all parts issues are escalated as outlined in Client procedures

Guidance and direction received: (What is the nature and degree of guidance, direction or assistance received from supervisors and from policies, Processes, precedents etc. ?)

Plant Manager, following standard work for the process.

Our customer in respect of their MRP system and associated processes

Client Coleshill and global policies and procedures.

Knowledge required: (Education, experience, special skills, certification)

Warehousing with supervisory experience to a fast moving Just in time (JIT) environment. (preferably in the automotive or similar industry)

Able to communicate at a management level with good written and verbal skills. A good understanding of mathematical based analytical, computer literate in Microsoft™ Word, Excel and PowerPoint. (Access would be advantages)

Material flow analysis and inventory management skills

Knowledge of working with ISO quality standards, and core problem solving and root cause analysis skills.

Ability and motivational skills to promote health and safety, lean thinking, achieving KPI targets

Qualification or equivalent accredited by Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) desirable.

Problem Solving Required:

Use of customer owned PPS process using the “5 Why’s”, “Fish Bone” and team inputs to establish root cause analysis and implementation of short, medium and long term counter measures.

Decisive decision making based on fact (Data driven) Process studies.

“Brain Storming” for a balanced input.

Using past history “Best Practice” as a preventive action tool.

Comply in accordance with Client 5S and other housekeeping procedures.

Ability and flexibility to work any shift changes by our customer both internal and external.

Willingness to undergo additional training to meet developing and changing business needs.

Willingness to provide support to other facilities both in the UK and abroad.

SAP, Strong Supplier management and an ability to hit the ground running are key elements of this role.
