Position: Quality Manager

The Role:

The role of the Quality Manager is to ensure the efficient running of the Quality department through meeting job timescales and demands, by managing a small team of inspectors ensuring all parts and tooling produced are to customer’s standards. In addition, it is imperative the role maintains our ISO9001 (2015) accreditation now that we have achieved that benchmark and ensures the continued development, improvement and adherence of the associated quality management system (and its documentation) that supports this accreditation.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Mentoring and guidance of the Inspection Department including guiding staff at other client sites to follow the Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is maintained at all time
  • Report to management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvements/updates
  • Liaising directly with suppliers to achieve set quality targets and monitor supplier validation
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation
  • Organise and run Quality inductions with all employees
  • Record, investigate and complete customer NCRs liaising with Project Managers
  • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process (ISO 9001:2015)
  • To attend all new product and production meetings to ensure quality procedures are considered and adhered to.
  • Auditing internal processes
  • Control of Quarantine process areas
  • To ensure Calibration of Inspection equipment is completed at regular intervals
  • To assist when necessary with various project related tasks

Knowledge, Experience, Attributes:

  • Previous experience within a Quality Management role
  • Have experience in a similar fast paced / high pressure environment (automotive/F1 industry desirable)
  • Dynamic, proactive attitude with strong influencing and relationship management skills at all levels within business hierarchy
  • Experience of managing a team including recruitment, probations, appraisals, disciplinary, and other employee relation issues.
  • High level of technical competence coupled with strong problem-solving skills
  • Resilient under pressure and have the ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Good planning & organisational skills
  • Hardworking, dedicated and adaptable

Hours: 40 hours per week, 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday

Salary: Dependent on experience
